Most of the tests specified in standard TS 34.121 that 3GPP WCDMA user equipment (UE) has to fulfil can be performed solely by the Universal Radio Communication Tester R&SŪ CMU200. Other tests, however, require additional instruments for generating one or more interfering signals, or for high dynamic spectrum analysis up to 12.75 GHz, i.e. features that a tester optimized for production cannot offer. This application note shows how easy it is to perform these tests using the R&SŪ CMU200 in combination with R&SŪ signal generators and R&SŪ spectrum analyzers. A new version of the software R&SŪ CMUgo is presented with additional test items and sequences to remote control both R&SŪ CMU200 and the other instruments. | ||||||
