For nearly 50 years Rohde & Schwarz has gaind a lot of expertise in the field of broadcast and tv measurement. We are the only supplier worldwide to offer a complete range of transmitters, test receiver families, analyzers for realtime analysis, monitoring and measuring equipment for digital audio and digital video as well as analog video and audio for all modern broadcasting standards like MPEG 2. Our tv measurement products can be used for signal generating and testing, (baseband) analysis and baseband generation.
The TV Test Receiver Family R&S EFA, for eXample, include tv measurement receivers or demodulators for analog video or digital video technology. The portable SAT/TV/FM Test Receiver R&S EFL100 features measurement for analog video, digital video and FM radio in a single unit. The digital model features BER and MER.
For realtime analysis and monitoring of MPEG2 transport stream we provide the MPEG2 Realtime Monitor R&S DVRM, for realtime anaysis, monitoring and demodulation of DVB-T signals the DTV Monitoring Receiver R&S ETX-T. The R&S ETX-T performs realtime monitoring of the most sensitive parameters of digital transmitters such as output level, MER or BER. Measurements for realtime analysis performed by an R&S realtime analyzer ensure smooth interplay of all components of a DTV transmission network.
Our DTV Recorder Generator R&S DVRG is used for recording and generating digital video streams.
Of course we also offer audio and analog video analyzers (baseband analysis) and special software, e.g. for generating user-specific transport streams with the PC.
R&S test transmitters include the optional input interfaces SPI (synchronous parallel), ASI (asynchronous serial) and SMPTE and an internal BER measurement facility for all digital modulation modes. The TV Test Transmitter R&S SFQ features besides several standards these flexible input interfaces ASI, SPI, SMPTE 310. The asynchronous serial interface (ASI), synchronous paralles interface (SPI) and SMPTE are components of the TV Test Transmitter R&S SFL.
