Open Test Platform R&S CompactTSVP
The CompactTSVP from Rohde & Schwarz represents a whole family of products developed for high performance ATE applications (ATE means automatic test equipment). The chassis comprises a mechanical frame, digital and analog backplane, mains switching and filtering, power supply and diagnostic extensions. The R&S Compact TSVP is offered in a Test and Measurement Platform and a Switching Application Platform.
You can choose from various Measurement Modules. Designed for ATE applications, the modules provide common features such as analog bus access for seamless signal routing.
The new R&S CompactTSVP open test platform from Rohde & Schwarz meets customer requirements, offering special cost advantages for T & M applications in the development, production and servicing of telecommunications and automotive electronics. It provides users with a basic modular concept of T & M functionalities.
The new product line is based on the CompactPCI / PXI - an extension of CompactPCI - and CAN standards already established on the market. More than 600 measurement products are currently available for the PXI standard.
The reason behind the development of the R&S cTSVP was to provide users with an wide portfolio modern test equipment. This was accomplished by using open industrial standards such as CompactPCI / PXI and CAN.
An enormous problem with conventional cPCI / PXI systems is the adaptation to the industrial environment - even with a functional test. The modular system concept chosen by Rohde & Schwarz eliminates these adaptation problems, thus setting a new standard in the field of modular test instruments.
The module for a functional test and for an analog in-circuit test (ICT) which will be available in the future makes it possible to test electronics products for production quality and functionality in one go and with one system.
Several modules are available for the R&S cTSVP , for example the cPCI/PXI and CAN bus based unit TS-PCA3. The new generation system platform of is extended by the high-accuracy R&S cTSVP analog bus. It provides applications for functional test including switching applications and in-circuit test (ICT).
