Universal Radio Communication Tester R&S CMU300 Homepage
For sensitivity measurements on a WCDMA Node B (WCDMA terminology for the base station), the CMU300 is the first test instrument to support all the Reference Measurement Channels (RMC) as defined in the specification (3GPP TS 25.141). By virtue of its own RF generator, the Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU300 provides:
For multislot applications, the Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU300 provides a feature ideal for testing transmitters that support both GMSK and 8PSK modulation. Not only can the CMU300 test the power ramping for up to 4 consecutive bursts; the measurement adapts automatically to the modulation, either GMSK or 8PSK, required for the power ramping used in each burst separately.
When a base station provides hopping this must be tested, to the GSM Specification for base stations (3GPP TS 11.21). So it is important that the Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU300 meets this requirement not only for GSM, but also for GPRS and EGPRS. The CMU300 supports two forms of hopping; Activation by Call, and "Forced Hopping" - activation without a call. Forced hopping supports the GPRS and EGPRS channels. For either form of hopping, software version 2.84/2.94 or later is required.
