Base Station
Radio Communication Tester R&S CMU300
For sensitivity measurements on a WCDMA Node B (WCDMA terminology for the base station),
the CMU300 is the first test instrument to support all the Reference Measurement Channels
(RMC) as defined in the specification (3GPP TS 25.141). By virtue of its own RF generator,
the Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU300 provides:
Real time signal generation incl. measurement sequences up to PN (pseudo-random noise)
16 for continuous receiver measurements, providing easy implementation of search routines
for the absolute radio sensitivity
Support for the specified 2 Mb per second data rate (RMC 2048 kbps) makes it possible
to test already for a data rate implemented for anticipated applications:
Test today for the applications of tomorrow
For multislot applications, the Universal Radio Communication Tester CMU300 provides
a feature ideal for testing transmitters that support both GMSK and 8PSK modulation.
Not only can the CMU300 test the power ramping for up to 4 consecutive bursts;
the measurement adapts automatically to the modulation, either GMSK or 8PSK,
required for the power ramping used in each burst separately.
