Universal Protocol Tester CRTU-G
For GSM mobile phone and chipset manufacturers with an eye for new GSM developments such as EDGE and GSM 850, the CRTU-G provides the features essential for both debugging the GSM software stack, simulating real-life situations such as handover, and recording the results generated.
For test houses, the CRTU-G outputs a pass/fail verdict based on validated test cases, for protocol testing. The CRTU-G is also an integral part of the TS8950 Type Approval test system, demonstrating the compatibility of the new protocol tester for WCDMA.
EDGE and software-controlled modulators/demodulators: The modulators and demodulators are software-driven and able to generate and receive GMSK and 8PSK signals as used in EDGE systems. The modulation formats are easily modified by software upgrades or further formats added as required.
The GSM specifications forming the basis of the GSM operational software and of the test cases are subject to continuous updating. To ensure that you are always up-to-date, Rohde&Schwarz is offering a software upgrade service for the CRTU-G GSM software. So you can be sure of always using the lat-est software version.
