Our test and measurement equipment support all international standards and technologies - no matter if second-generation (2G) or third-generation (3G), like GSM, GPRS, EDGE, ACLR, WCDMA, cdma2000, TDMA, Bluetooth and UMTS. <p>Measuring ACLR (Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio) is one of the most important tasks in the development of base stations for WCDMA. The requirement on subsystem and component level is often much tougher than on the system level. When testing for instance a D/A converter, or other components in the transmitter chain such as amplifiers and mixers, not even the performance of the worlds best spectrum analyzer, the FSU, has always been accurate enough to reveal the performance of the device under test. </p> <p>Bluetooth is a wireless technology, a low cost short-range wireless specification for connecting mobile devices. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), a trade association, is driving the development of Bluetooth and bringing them to market.</p> <p>Rohde & Schwarz was intrinsically involved in the development of the WCDMA (Wide Code Division Multiple Access) standard right from the beginning. The WCDMA technology is used in UMTS and will promote any 2g services and applications and open up new possibilities. <br> UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) is a so-called "third-generation (3G)" broadband, packet-based transmission of text, digitized voice, video, and multimedia at data rates up to and possibly higher than 2 Mbps, offering a consistent set of services to mobile computer and phone users.
