R&S BICK Mobilfunk GmbH, the competence center for mobile and digital trunked radio systems in the Rohde & Schwarz group, is a leading supplier of professional radio systems, in particular mobile radio networks and applications. The company with headquarters in Bad Muender specializes in the development and implementation of professional radio and communication systems and applications of any size to MPT-1327 and TETRA standards. Rohde & Schwarz offers all-in-one solutions, including network and project planning, base stations, applications, dispatcher systems etc.
Nowadays the growing demand for mobile communication is facing with a shortage of radio frequencies. Therefore BICK Mobilfunk provides solutions to this problem with ACCESSNET, a trunked radio system based on the MPT-1327 signalling standard.
The development of that trunked radio system ACCESSNET which is based on MPT -1327, was started in 1988. It has made us market leader in Germany. We have installed a large number of systems world wide. The concept of 'soft migration' allows a smooth transition from MPT-1327 based systems to digital TETRA standard (in conformity with ETSI Standard).
Right from the start R&S BICK Mobilfunk has played a competent role in the creation of that standard for digital trunked radio and developed ACCESSNET-T. This digital radio network is based on TETRA, the only ETSI Standard for digital trunked radio, and focused on professional users as for example PMR/PAMR operators, public utilities defences and public safety and security.
ACCESSNET -T is based on elements like the Digital Mobile Exchange as Switching Controller Node (SCN) DMX-500, the Digital Transceiver as Radio Base Station DTX-500, a (digital radio) Network Management System NMS-500 or Dispatcher Server with work stations.
