Based on the European TETRA Standard , ACCESSNET-T was developed by R&S BICK Mobilfunk as the new digital professional mobile communication network for Trunked Radio Systems. The Hightlights of ACCESSNET-T are a non-hierarchical network structure, a wide range of scalability, no topological restrictions and appropriation for multi-protocol applications. Soft Migration, which meams the coexistence and cooperation between MPT-1327 and TETRA systems, is possible.
ACCESSNET-T is based on elements like the digital Mobile Exchange as Switching Controller Node (SCN): DMX-500, a digital transceiver as Radio Base Station ( DTX-500), hand-held and vehicle units as a mobile station, the network management system NMS-500 and last but not least a dispatcher server with work stations.
Components of the ACCESSNET-T system are the DTX-500 Base Station, the DMX-500/600 switching controller node (SCN), the DSS-500 Single Site System and a subscriber Terminal.
The DTX-500 Base Station (BS) equipment provides radio communications for mobile terminals / handhelds in a certain area. Each BS is responsible for covering the operating area of one station up to the boundaries of the next. Configuration with up to 8 TETRA carriers in a 19 inch rack (32 logical channels) is possible. The BS can easily be upgraded by more carriers: expansion to a total of 16 TETRA carriers.
The Switching Controller Node (SCN) DMX-500/600 is based on an optimized non-blocking digital switch. This switching network element controls a number of Base Stations (BS), provides access to a range of external networks such as ISDN, PDN, PABX, etc. Connection to other SCNs and/or TETRA sub-networks is possible.
