Broadcast Test System R&S SFU wins "Best in Test" 2005
Jan 21, 2005 - The editors of the American trade journal Test & Measurement World tested the R&S SFU and gave it a rating of "very good". They were so enthusiastic about the R&S SFU system platform that they declared it the 2005 winner in the "digital video test" category.
The award is given annually to products that are especially innovative or beneficial. Companies as well as users proposed products in altogether 12 categories that were launched on the market between November 2003 and October 2004.
The Broadcast Test System R&S SFU won the award primarily on the basis of its universality. The instrument combines a test transmitter, a signal generator and recorder for transport streams, a channel simulator, a digital AWGN and an ARB generator in one platform. It can be used for all current digital TV standards, and future standards can be retrofitted at any time. The R&S SFU now has the chance to be elected product of the year by the readers.
Test & Measurement World is one of the market leaders among the T&M trade journals. With a circulation of 65 000, the magazine is distributed mainly in North America and five percent worldwide.
