future requirements. This is the case with the new Network and Compo-nent Analyzer R 3860 from Advantest (FIG 1), whose modular design offers optimum flexibility and adaptability. The basic model covers a frequency range from 300 kHz to 8 GHz and comes in different versions for measurements on two-port, three-port and four-port devices.
