Controlling : Document Controller

Your tasks

• To manage and perform the control of incoming and outgoing project documents in support of the engineering function within Defence engineering projects.
• Preparation and delivery of project documentation to the Customer, and the receipt and processing of data deliverables from Suppliers, Industry Stakeholders and/or Commonwealth stakeholders.
• Review and edit documentation prior to delivery to ensure it meets both the projects and Customers requirements.
• Create, revise and release documents and items in the configuration management database
• Assist the Configuration Manager to maintain the data integrity of the configuration management database, document register and other project tracking registers
• Create and edit document templates
• Manage and report on the flow of documents through the review and approval process.
• Coordinate the preparation of materials for major project review and milestone activities
• Generate and provide reports on the status of project documents and correspondence
• Provide general configuration management support.
• Participate in tender support activities.

Your qualifications

• 2 years or more experience in document control
• Advanced communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven background in document control or configuration management preferably in a defence engineering environment.
• Demonstrated accountability and commitment.
• Personal agility by adapting flexibly to new situations, pursuing new paths and learning from mistakes.
• Customer focused.
• Efficient.
• High standard of work quality.
• Eligible to obtain Australian Citizenship.
• Eligible to obtain an Australian Security Clearance
• Eligible to access/handle export-controlled technology, data, and information.
