Exporting an ASCII file containing trace data

Question

I stored trace data to analyzer memory or to a USB stick in binary format. How can I get the trace data as a file that I can read with another PC program, e.g. MS Excel?

Answer

Trace data can be stored in ASCII format. Please perform the following steps to save an ASCII file to your USB memory stick.

1.) Select XML format

File-key -> File Control -> More 1/2 -> File Format XML

2.) Select trace data

File-key -> Items -> select Trace context A (B, C)

3.) Select Media (USB stick)

File-key -> Media -> select (USB Device) and Enter(Hz)

4.) Store ASCII file

File-key -> Save or File-key -> Save as

5.) Recall the file on your PC, e.g. using MS Excel. Please set the tag " for separation.
