HMO3000 - Export of waveform data to CSV with two identical X values?

Question

I have exported some waveforms to CSV file format. After opening I can see two identical x values with different y values.

Could you please explain the background? I do not know how to use that data.

Here you can see an example:

[s],CH2[V]

-2.00000E-04,-7.300E-01

-2.00000E-04,-7.100E-01

-1.99800E-04,-7.500E-01

-1.99800E-04,-7.100E-01

-1.99600E-04,-7.500E-01

-1.99600E-04,-7.100E-01

Answer

That happens if "Peak detect" is set to "Auto". You can find that settings if in the "ACQUIRE" menue.

The function exports the highest and the lowest sample value in one decimation interval.

It is usefull to detect high frequency glitches.

To disable that, press the button "ACQUIRE" located under the knob for the time scale.

Set "Peak detect" to "Off"
