During measurement, you may encounter interfering signals from surrounding signal sources. These signals could distort the actual measurement and therefore lead to false assumptions. The R&S FPC1500 provides a method to suppress signals resulting from interfering sources without affecting the accuracy of the actual measurement. This method is called "Interference Suppression".
However, this feature might be obstructive when measuring narrow band devices. For this reason it can be turned off as follows:
1. Press the "Trace" key to enter the trace menu
2. Select the "Interference Suppression" menu item
3. Select the "Suppression" menu item to turn it on and off
The following example shows a narrowband antenna measured with "Interference Suppression” turned on and off.
"Interference Suppression” turned on (default setting FW v1.50)
