Secure naval missions with integrated communications systems

R&S®NAVICS is a fully IP-based integrated system providing internal and external voice and data communications. It features future-oriented technology and is user-friendly and cost-effective. With a key focus on communality and serviceability, the system is scalable from small patrol boats up to large carrier-size vessels.

R&S®NAVICS will be integrated on board modern platforms such as the Royal Navy’s Type 26 global combat ships (GCS), the Royal Malaysian Navy’s littoral combat ships (LCS) and the German Minehunter MJ332.

Sovereign digital communications networks transformed from legacy systems

Information superiority ensures a common operational picture, which is required in order to succeed in military missions. Rohde & Schwarz, the party responsible for the German Armed Forces’ joint radio system (SOVERON®D), provides interoperability and networkcentric capabilities.

To allow voice and data communications between strategic, public and legacy networks, third-party vendors are integrated into the mobile tactical communications system. Extended range and networking between heterogeneous nets at all hierarchical levels is ensured.
