Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented EW/RADAR Application Engineer based in the greater Los Angeles, San Diego, or Phoenix areas. As an Application Engineer, you’ll provide solutions to complex problems faced by engineers and scientists designing and building today’s most advanced EW/RADAR solutions. Working alongside our Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams, you will be demonstrating products, providing training, and delivering technical support to our wide-ranging Aerospace & Defense customer base. By functioning as a consultative solutions provider, our Application Engineers are often treated as an extension of the customer’s internal technical teams. Your tasks

Technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments
Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations
Consultant to customers create test plans and methods for EW/RADAR solutions
Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
Provide technical feedback to product developers

Your qualifications

B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience working with test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Vector Network Analyzers
Experience in the test and evaluation of advanced EW/RADAR systems
Knowledge of advanced EW/RADAR system requirements and industry trends
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
Excellent problem-solving skills

The total compensation for this position is $110K-$200K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
