Finance : Financial Operations Analyst

Your tasks

• Conduct the commission plan administration activities, including plans setup, management of monthly commission payment cycles, and ensuring timely distribution of reports and processing of commission payments for US and Canada
• Partner with human resources, sales, finance and commissions vendor to drive improvements in commission processing and updating of 3rd party calculation software annually and as needed
• Drive process adoption, discipline and governance, in compliance with company policies and the established commission plans
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of commission plans, including but not limited to targets, commission rates, bonuses, commission multipliers
• Communicate regularly and effectively with the field to provide a comprehensive understanding of how their commission plans work
• Research queries and understand data flows to explain variances in commission pay and/or target attainment
• Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally with sales, HR and finance teams, to team up and deliver value
• Provide support to the accounting team for the monthly commission accrual
• Prepare monthly and annual commission estimates and budgets
• Monitor and collect data on inventory operations, including system inventory movements and assistance in quarterly inventory counts
• Document, reconcile and manage capital asset movements from CIP to in service on a monthly basis with reporting to finance department management
• Partner with sales, finance and operations teams to support forecasting of expenses
• Complete monthly expense and cost center variance analysis for reporting to cost center managers and senior leadership

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Operations or General Business
• 3+ years related experience
• Maintains absolute attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to “roll up their sleeves”
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with online commission systems. CaptivateIQ preferred
• Expert in Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems – SAP (S4 Hana) preferred
• Ability to communicate cross-functionally with multiple levels of the organization
