Introduction

At our Chemnitz site, Rohde & Schwarz develops innovative software and system solutions for test and measurement applications. Together with our teams in software development, signal processing and electrical engineering, we create high-performance instruments and applications that enable our customers to develop, test and analyze sophisticated electronic systems. As part of an international technology company with more than 16000 employees, we collaborate across locations to develop solutions that meet the highest standards of precision, performance and quality.

Tasks

  • You develop high-performance digital hardware assemblies for our signal generators, from circuit concept and schematic design through PCB development to integration into the complete instrument.
  • You analyze and optimize your designs with regard to signal integrity, power integrity and timing and support PCB layouts using toolchains such as CR-8000 while considering DFM and DFT requirements.
  • You bring up new hardware assemblies in the laboratory, perform measurements and debugging and verify their functionality and performance.
  • You coordinate prototype builds and support your hardware through integration and system testing to production handover, including the required technical documentation.
  • You plan and support integration, environmental, reliability and EMC/EMI testing and derive appropriate hardware design improvements from the results.
  • You define and coordinate interfaces to FPGA, embedded and software components and collaborate closely with the respective development teams.
  • You apply simulation, design-for-test approaches as well as automated and AI-assisted engineering methods early in the development process to reduce development and integration risks.
