Calibration of two channels simultaneously with remote commands

Question

My network analyzer is connected to a switch unit. Several channels work on the same ports.

Calibrating all channels one after the other leads to a high amount of connecting cycles of the calibration standards. Is it possible to do the calibration sweeps for one standard for all channels one after the other, then proceed to the next standard?

Answer:

Yes – that can be done. Here is an example SCPI sequence for two channels with some explanations:
CORR:COLL:CHAN:MCTY ON à Enable the "Multi Calibration Type Mode"

At first all settings for the calibration have to be set for each channel, i.e:
SENS1:CORR:CKIT:N50:SEL 'ZV-Z121'
SENS2:CORR:CKIT:N50:SEL 'ZV-Z121'
SENS1:CORR:COLL:CONN1 N50FEMALE
SENS1:CORR:COLL:CONN2 N50FEMALE
SENS2:CORR:COLL:CONN1 N50FEMALE
SENS2:CORR:COLL:CONN2 N50FEMALE
SENS1:CORR:COLL:METH:DEF 'anything', TOSM, 1, 2
SENS2:CORR:COLL:METH:DEF 'anything', TOSM, 1, 2

Now the calibration sweeps can be startet:
SENS1:CORR:COLL:ACQ:SEL THROUGH,1,2
SENS2:CORR:COLL:ACQ:SEL THROUGH,1,2
SENS1:CORR:COLL:ACQ:SEL OPEN,1
SENS2:CORR:COLL:ACQ:SEL OPEN,1
…continue with the other standards…

Finally save the calibration for each channel with
SENS1:CORR:COLL:SAVE:SEL
SENS2:CORR:COLL:SAVE:SEL
