How should I apply?

Please apply online by clicking "Apply now" in the job ad that interests you. This will take you to our application portal. In the application portal, you can see the status of your application. Once you have created your profile, you can use it to apply for other job openings at Rohde & Schwarz. After we have entered your contact information in our system, you will receive your logon details. You can use these to log into the application portal to edit and update your online profile whenever necessary.

How does the application process work?

If you are interested in an open position on our job board, click the "Apply Now" button above or below the job description. This will take you directly to our application portal where you can send in your application. If after carefully reviewing your application, we feel we could work with you, we will invite you to an initial interview. This can take place by phone, video call or in person. We may need to talk with you again before we decide whether to make you an offer. The recruitment process can vary according to the position or country.

What documents should I include with my application?

Please send us your detailed CV, a cover letter and all qualifications, references and transcripts (school/university, practical experience and employers). We ask students to also send us an official confirmation of enrollment.

How do I hit the jackpot with my cover letter and CV?

To make sure we see your key information at a glance, we recommend the following:

Keep your cover letter to one DIN A4 page and clearly state why you are interested in our company and this position and your earliest start date. We would also like to know why you are an ideal fit for this position. Your cover letter should mainly explain why you are applying to Rohde & Schwarz. It should never simply rehash your CV.

Your CV should have a clean, well-structured layout and list the most important aspects of your education and professional life in chronological order. We are especially interested in your professional knowledge, skills and experience, ideally in the form of a detailed list. We also want to know about your language skills and other relevant skills and qualifications.

Can I complete part of my application and continue later?

Yes. Once you have completed your registration in the applicant portal, you will receive an email from us containing your user data, which you can use to log into the applicant portal at any time. All of the data you have entered so far is saved.

How can I withdraw my application?

You can withdraw your application at any time. On the applicant portal, go to My Applications. Select the application you would like to withdraw and click "Delete/Withdraw".

How does Rohde & Schwarz protect my data?

We ensure absolute confidentiality and discretion throughout the entire application process. Your data will be processed and stored in our system in accordance with the most stringent security standards.

What file formats can I use for my application documents?

You can upload up to 5 Mbyte in the following file types: .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .bmp, .tif and .jpg. The upload is encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. This protects your data against unauthorized access. You can use all of the information in your personal profile to apply for other Rohde & Schwarz positions as well. Make sure that the documents are printable (i.e. print protection is disabled in the security settings). For security reasons, we do not accept executable files (*.exe, *.com, etc.), archives (*.zip, *.rar, etc.) or other media files (film, audio, etc.). Thank you for your cooperation.

Can I update or block my applicant profile?

Yes, you can do that at any time. Simply use your access data to log into our application profile and make the necessary changes to your applicant profile.

What do I do if I forget my password or username?

That can happen to anyone. Simply go to the Career page, open the applicant portal and click "Forgot your password?" – we will immediately send you a new password.
