5G coverage measurements at 28 GHz

Rohde & Schwarz mobile network testing presented world’s first field and coverage measurement solution at 28 GHz at the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. The new demonstrator solution consists of the R&S®TSME ultracompact drive test scanner and R&S ROMES drive test software to enable over-the-air characterization of 5G network coverage. This enables to test the performance of the initial 5G network deployments in the field to allow the progression of the technology.
