70% of internet traffic is related to mobile devices using the cellular as well as the Wi-Fi connectivity. Especially at home, offices and venues user prefer to use Wi-Fi connectivity on the their mobile devices: Moreover with modern, energy efficient buildings indoor coverage becomes more challenging for 5G. Overall there is a need for seamless interworking of Wi-Fi and 5G networks. The presentation will look on the various approaches from Hotpsot2.0 defined by WFA to AT3S specified by 3GPP and will touch also the test and certification aspects.
