The R&S®PVT360A is a VSG/VSA single-box vector  tester optimized for FR1 base station, small cell and RF
component testing in production and characterization environments. Two independent signal generators
and analyzers enable fast parallelized measurements. A frequency range of up to 8 GHz, flexible bandwidth configuration and an optional second TRX channel provide the necessary performance and enable flexible adaptation in a small form factor.

Keycode options for hardware extensions

The basic R&S®PVT360A configuration with the R&S®PVT-B106B option supports a frequency range of 400 MHz to 6 GHz and a bandwidth of 250 MHz on the first TRX. The instrument also comes fully equipped and calibrated for its maximum configuration. It has everything needed to activate a frequency range up to 8 GHz, a bandwidth extension of 500 MHz and the second TRX. The instrument can be adapted to your needs at any time.

Hardware-accelerated test sequencing

Speed is essential when performing multiple tests. The R&S®PVT360A provides test automation and hardware-accelerated test sequencing for extremely fast measurements. Using the ARB sequencer, waveforms can directly be queried from the RAM. The integrated signal generator and analyzer enable seamless interaction between the transmit and receive paths.

Internal switch matrix

The R&S®PVT360A switch matrix offers outstanding flexibility and maximum resource utilization. When testing multiple DUTs or multiport devices, connectivity to the R&S®PVT360A via the various RF ports eliminates the need for an external switch matrix.
Each of the two optional generators can broadcast signals on up to 8 RF output ports. The signal analysis path can be assigned to one of eight RF input ports. The low switching time enables fast sequential measurements.

Smart channel

The R&S®PVT-K108 smart channel option virtually divides the R&S®PVT360A into as many as eight subinstruments. Virtual pairs of signal generators and analyzers can be controlled independently of one another. While the generator and analyzer hardware is shared across the virtual instruments, processing and calculation is parallelized for maximum utilization and speed.

Manual and automated operation

The R&S®PVT360A GUI is accessible via a web interface or a connected monitor and provides a structured overview of signal generation and analysis settings.
The R&S®PVT360A comes with SCPI support for automation and Python libraries for easy automated testing. ARB sequencing allows ARB files to be accessed directly from the RAM, eliminating file loading times. Hardware based test sequencing further increases test speeds for excellent measurement throughput.

Comprehensive signal generation and analysis

R&S®WinIQSIM2 external PC software supports the configuration and generation of ARB signals for multiple cellular and wireless connectivity standards.
A variety of measurement features for general purpose, cellular and wireless standards are available for signal analysis. The signal analysis applications provide insight into the physical layer and RF performance of the analyzed signal. The internal GUI or the R&S®VSE software provide a graphical representation of results.

Base station and small cell testing

The R&S®PVT360A provides measurement capabilities to test the physical layer of base stations and small cells. With frequencies up to 8 GHz and a bandwidth of  500 MHz, all FR1 frequency bands are covered. Standard-compliant signal generation and analysis for 5G NR release 15 and 16 provide comprehensive test capabilities for typical base station transmitter and receiver testing.

5G NR signal analysis

Componet test and in-depth characterization

The signal generation and analysis applications enable comprehensive component testing with modulated signals. A broad range of test applications for component testing is available with R&S®WinIQSIM2 and R&S®VSE software.
From amplifier characterization to signal analysis based on wireless standards, a wide range of tests can be carried out. High RF performance suitable for demanding measurements enables detailed DUT testing for various signal parameters, while providing insight into performance.

Enhanced testing in production environments

The R&S®PVT360A has different methods for parallelized tests and optimal resource utilization. The smart channel feature in combination with a 2 × eight-port switch matrix virtually divides the R&S®PVT360A into subinstruments with shared signal generation hardware resources. The measurements can be operated fully in parallel for up to two TRX tests and, if more DUTs or ports are connected, the tests can be run in parallel with automated resource scheduling.

Terms & Conditions of the Prize Draw 10 years Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes

1. The prize draw “10 years Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes” (herein referred to as “Draw”) is organized by Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Mühldorfstraße 15, 81671 Munich, Germany, Tel. +49 89 41 29 0 (herein referred to as “R&S).

2. All participators can register to the draw during January 01, 2020 to December 31, 2020 with their name, company name and business e-mail.

3. Participation is free of charge and not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

4. The draw is only open to legal entities and only the legal entities are able to win the prizes. An individual person is not allowed to participate on its own name and its own account but as a representative of a legal entity filing the participation form in the name of and on behalf of the legal entity.

5. The prizes to win are 1 of 10 R&S®RTB2000 within the time frame January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020:

6. The draw takes place at Rohde & Schwarz headquarters, Muehldorstrasse 15, 81671 Munich. The winner of the prizes will be informed by e-mail within 5 (5) working days.

7. The authorized representative of the legal entity shall inform Rohde & Schwarz about the acceptance of the price. In case of the denial of the acceptance, or no answer within two (2) weeks, a new winner will be drawn. If no winner can be determined within four (4) weeks, the draw ends and the prize forfeit.

8. R&S’ employees and members of their families and also person being familiar with the process of the draw and members of their families are excluded from filling the participation form.

9. No cash equivalent or exchange of prizes is allowed. Prizes are non-transferable. All taxes, levies, duties, fees and other charges levied in the participant´s country shall be borne by the participant.

10. Personal data will be processed only for the purpose of this prize draw and deleted four (4) weeks after the draw, if not agreed otherwise.

11. Any Participant who does not comply with these Terms & Conditions may be disqualified by R&S from this Competition. In such cases, prizes can also be withdrawn retrospectively. In case a prize is withdrawn retrospectively due to the non-compliance with these Terms & Conditions, it shall be returned by the respective participant at his cost to R&S’ address mentioned under Nr.1 and a new winner will be drawn.

12. The participants cannot claim the prizes of this draw and no legal recourse is permitted in this respect.

13. The draw and any contractual relationship arising therefrom between R&S and the respective participant shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without any recourse to the conflict of laws. The courts of Munich, Germany, shall have exclusive jurisdiction in case of any disputes arising directly or indirectly from the participation in this Competition.
