To help EMC engineers meet the increasing demand for higher measurement speeds, at EMV 2022 in Cologne Rohde & Schwarz is introducing a unique wideband solution which is able to measure up to 970 MHz in real time, while keeping a high dynamic range and measurement accuracy. With this new extension, the R&S ESW EMI test receiver features the largest bandwidth in the industry and becomes the fastest EMI test receiver on the market.

This application note describes topics such as: characteristics and implementation of RF signal paths, image responses etc. for the R&S®ESW EMI test receiver.

Rohde & Schwarz has integrated the fast time domain scan as standard in its R&S ESW EMI test receiver. It works with double bandwidth to increase measuring speed. Also new is the R&S EWS-K58 multi CISPR ADP option. It precisely shows the effects of interference on digital communication systems. The option accelerates CISPR 11 tests on microwave ovens and could prevail for other product tests in the future.

At EMV in Stuttgart, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate highlights such as the new R&S ELEKTRA EMC test software for automated certification and precompliance tests and R&S AdVISE for automated visual checks. Brand new are the test solutions for spurious emission measurements for 5G components.

At the EMC event EMV in Cologne, Rohde & Schwarz demonstrates a comprehensive range of EMC test and measurement solutions – ranging from standalone instruments and software to application-specific systems. As a highlight, the company unveils an important enhancement to the R&S ESW EMI test receiver, the new 1GHz bandwidth extension. The Rohde & Schwarz solutions are on display from July 12 to 14, 2022 at the Cologne exhibition center, hall 10.2, booth 112.

Rohde & Schwarz presents the first turnkey solution for measuring radiated spurious emissions from 5G components in both frequency ranges FR1 and FR2. For this solution the R&S ELEKTRA EMC test software has been upgraded with measurement and calibration routines for 5G.
