Systems Engineering : Systems Engineer - Columbia, MD

Your tasks

• Assist the design, integration, and deployment of voice communications systems / subsystems for R&S ATC projects
• Create and maintain technical documentation according to customer requirements.
• Translate customer needs into requirements and competitive solutions maximizing R&S content.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
• Participate in communication with customers and R&S product design team.
• Work closely with the product engineering teams based in Europe and North America.

Your qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering degree.
• First-hand experience with systems for critical infrastructure customers.
• Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Experience with requirement management processes and tools.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Good communication and customer interface skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to operate with considerable autonomy and minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 30%.
• US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $80K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
