5G NR gNB OTA conformance testing | October 1, 2019 13:40

The 3GPP 5G NR Release 15 set of standards includes the specifications TS 38.141-1 and TS 38.141-2, which are particularly relevant for base station manufacturers. The presentation provides an overview of 5G NR base station conformance testing and discusses additional challenges such as OTA calibration procedures, higher measurement uncertainties and greater path loss.

Power distribution network testing through impedance analysis | October 2, 2019 15:00

Power distribution networks (PDN) have a primary role in the circuitry printed on boards. The correct design of these important electronic structures ensures stability across the whole board. The impedance of these circuits is a metric of stability and a yardstick for board optimization. A test setup is presented, where the PDN is evaluated with the impedance analysis function of a vector network analyzer (VNA).
