IDG Studie

New Industry 4.0 study from IDG and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity

IT meets OT: it is beyond dispute that two different worlds come together when information and operation technologies are combined under the banner of Industry 4.0. Moreover, the opportunities of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the growing number of networked devices are accompanied by increased security risks.

With surveys of top IT stakeholders and CISOs across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the study makes clear that security is the number-one obstacle facing Industry 4.0.

What is it, however, that German companies fear the most? And what opportunities and competitive advantages do those surveyed perceive regarding Industry 4.0? The study from IDG and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity is titled "Industry 4.0" and provides the answers to these and other questions.

Download the results of the study to learn about the factors considered the largest threats to Industry 4.0 implementation and about the success of certain companies in realizing smart factory concepts.
