Shaping the future of EMC in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

APEMC is back, this time round in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Rohde and Schwarz will be there to showcase the latest innovations of test and measurement solutions at booth A04.

As a market leading provider of test and measurement equipment for EMC applications from the everyday to the state-of-the-art, we’re excited to demonstrate how our products meet the evolving testing needs of the EMC community.

Check out the workshops! Our experts and partners will be sharing their insights and know-how on trending topics and updates such as:-

Workshops Abstract
New developments in EMC Standard CISPR 32 for emission measurements on multimedia equipment This workshop explains new developments proposed in Draft CISPR 32 Edition 3 on emission measurements for multimedia equipment. It will comprise a general overview of the proposed changes and focuses on new measurement techniques and challenges for reliable and fast measurement above 1 GHz as follows.
  • E-Field in free-space OATS versus power in Reverberation Chambers (RVC)
  • APD measurement function for an adequate interference weighting of digital radio
  • Fast and reliable measurements with FFT wideband measuring receivers
  • Use of a VHF-LISN as termination device for better reproducibility across different test sites
The publication of CISPR 32 Edition 3 is expected in late 2026.
The session will be completed with an overview about regulatory requirements for IT and multimedia equipment to be marketed in Malaysia.

Workshops Abstract
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Drone Flying Challenges to our Living Environment This session examines EMC requirements for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), explaining how EMI and EMS can affect drone performance, nearby electronics, safe operation in dense RF environments and system resilience. It also outlines the needs for local test and measurement requirement. The workshop covers the following topics:-
  • The Evolving RF Regulatory Framework of UAV in Malaysia
  • Introduction to UAV EMC
  • Case Study: Improving the immunity of a consumer UAV against back-door coupling attack
  • Regulatory Testing for Cellular and Non-Cellular UAV Communications

Workshops Abstract
From Theory to Practice: Tackling the Complexities of Reverberation Chamber Measurements Reverberation chambers are widely used in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and antenna testing due to their statistical field uniformity and efficiency. However, moving from theoretical understanding to consistent, high-quality measurements in practice presents a range of challenges. This workshop explores the nuanced factors that influence reverberation chamber performance, including chamber loading, mode-stirring efficiency, field uniformity criteria, and measurement uncertainty. Participants will gain insight into common pitfalls such as improper calibration, frequency-dependent behavior, and real-world deviations from ideal models. Through case studies and practical demonstrations, the session will highlight strategies for optimizing test setups, interpreting complex data, and maintaining measurement integrity across varying test conditions. By bridging theoretical principles with hands-on experience, this workshop aims to equip attendees with the tools and understanding needed to achieve reliable and reproducible results in reverberation chamber testing.
