Highly secure storage and encryption
Two aspects are crucial when it comes to protecting sensitive data: the location and type of data storage. With our Cloud Data Protection Gateway R&S®Trusted Gate, customers can ensure that their data is stored in exactly the places and regions where it is allowed to be located in compliance with data protection regulations. In addition, the data is encrypted at all times. The encryption methods correspond to the current state of the art and cannot be overcome by today's means. The keys remain 100% in the hands of the customer at all times.
R&S®Trusted Gate also protects data against future risks. With the rapid development of quantum computers, even today's secure encryption methods are in danger of being compromised in the future. That is why R&S®Trusted Gate relies on a method for the distributed storage of data. Each encrypted file is split into a definable number of data particles. These particles can then be stored in a distributed manner at different definable locations in the cloud or on-premises. This greatly reduces the risk of an attacker obtaining all parts of an encrypted file. However, as long as not all data particles of a file are accessible, it is mathematically impossible to gain access to the information even if the encryption process is broken.

A pharmaceutical company works with Microsoft® 365 and Teams. R&S®Trusted Gate enables the organization to store all their research and development data exclusively in its own data center to massively reduce the risk of international industrial espionage, even when using global cloud services.
Despite the high level of security, the pharmaceutical company's employees can continue to work with Teams and Microsoft® 365 without any additional steps or restrictions on key workflows.
