Automotive radar sensors are used in complex and safety-critical applications such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving. Their correct function and compliance with relevant regulations, both under nominal and adverse conditions, must be verified. There are also liability considerations for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and radar-module suppliers, so robust test and measurement procedures and trusted testing instruments are required to minimize risk and ensure an efficient approval and certification process.
