QPS201 quick personnel security scanners are already successfully deployed at Ben Gurion Airport and Allenby Border Crossing and more are planned to be rolled out at passenger security lanes across IAA sites. Installation of QPS201 will enable IAA to achieve its vision of a secure and safe environment while providing a positive experience for passengers, by making the screening process as fast and efficient as possible.
“This contract sets an important milestone in Israel”, said Yariv Niv, General Manager of Rohde & Schwarz Israel. “We are proud to take part in enhancing the security processes across IAA sites and expanding QPS201 presence worldwide.”
"Rohde & Schwarz is committed to our partnership with IAA. We will continue to develop and deliver innovative and effective personnel screening solutions to make checkpoint security more efficient and with our high-performance QPS201 technology platform," said Andreas Haegele, Vice President of Microwave Imaging at Rohde & Schwarz.
QPS201 is an UHD personnel screening system, providing high resolution to enable detection of metallic and non-metallic objects concealed on the body using AI-powered algorithms, meeting demanding security levels set by Israeli regulations. The screening method is safe and preserves passenger privacy.
Since entering the aviation industry in 2015, Rohde & Schwarz has established itself as a trusted provider of security solutions with its scanners approved by the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), the US Transport Security Administration (TSA), and many other national agencies.
