Rohde & Schwarz together with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute demonstrated a test setup for radio channel propagation measurements at 39 GHz at the LTE Innovation Summit 2015 in Del Mar, California. The R&S®AFQ100A baseband generator and the R&S®SMW200A vector signal generator are used to generate a 39 GHz carrier frequency signal for the transmission. The R&S®FSW signal and spectrum analyzer downconverts the received signal and provides digitized I/Q samples to an external software tool to calculate channel impulse response and channel transfer function.
