Project Manager - Defense, Critical Infrastructures for Hungary

Your tasks

• End-to-end responsibility for tailoring, controlling, and managing projects within a global matrix organization. This requires seamless alignment between local Hungarian sales objectives and global business area governance, acting as the bridge between local customers, sales, and international project teams.
• Technical and commercial end-to-end responsibility for the projects according to the contract, scope and specification, including change management.
• As the Point of Contact in the project, you will be responsible for the project for all parties involved (internal and external), you will set up the project organization, manage the project team / partners and suppliers.
• Review, assess and document commercial, contracting and safety risks in accordance internal governance processes, to ensure compliance and proactively mitigate commercial risk.
• Reporting to the customer and management about status of the projects. Setting up and updating the project management IT tools with relevant information.
• Ensure strict adherence to global Project Portfolio Governance standards. You will be responsible for transparently integrating local project milestones, swim lane progress, and financial metrics into our central reporting dashboards to ensure alignment with broader business area objectives.
• Being part of the company site security organization upon request, obtaining a personal security clearance according to the legal expectations of the Authority (www.nbf.hu, also 90/2010. (III. 26.) government decree about NBF and classified data handling).

Your qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Technical Management, including economics related studies.
• Project management related qualifications (PMP, Prince2 practicioner, etc.).
• Proven experience managing the integration of high-availability, mission-critical hardware and software systems.
• You have already been able to apply your excellent knowledge in project management and controlling in the implementation of turnkey projects, ideally in a business to business, business to government, defense or law enforcement environment.
• Hungarian nationality, native Hungarian, advanced English is a must.
• Strong influencing and consultative skills, preferred a proven track record of success in a comparable project management position.
• Strong team player who is also able to work independently.
• A 5+ years of relevant working experience in technical project management, business owner for business to business, defense, law enforcement, critical infrastructure customers.
• Type C personal security clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• Military or police experience is an advantage.
