Provides operational and technical support to the Technical Director in managing activities related to the department's area of responsibility. The primary role is to ensure the continuity of production department processes, manage component inventories, and assume full departmental management responsibilities in the absence of the Technical Director.

Your tasks

  • Plan and prioritize work orders for the SMD workshop, issuing the necessary production orders to ensure compliance with the production flow.
  • Lead and monitor the implementation and maintenance of the IAP system across the department.
  • Monitor and control the stock of electronic components and materials; perform production simulations and issue purchase requests to the Procurement & Logistics Department through the new IAP system.
  • Assign tasks to subordinate personnel and monitor their execution in accordance with deadlines and established procedures.
  • Manage interfaces and transitions between various production activities and phases; coordinate ongoing product changes and handle situations involving product structure modifications (obsolete components, end-of-life parts, or materials dedicated exclusively to specific projects).
  • Ensure rigorous management of production material inventories by conducting detailed analyses of component obsolescence, determining safety stock levels, and properly sizing material requirements based on forecasts.
  • Translate operational issues, consumption history, and production-flow events into mathematical and analytical models to support accurate material forecasting.
  • Propose technical and organizational improvement measures to the Technical Director aimed at enhancing, optimizing, and modernizing managed processes.
  • Participate in the annual inventory process for components, subassemblies, and materials within the department.
  • Maintain effective, continuous, and collaborative communication with key departments involved in the production process, including: Procurement (for timely sourcing and resolving supply bottlenecks); Hardware R&D (for technical modifications and component substitutions); Production teams and colleagues directly involved in manufacturing operations.
  • Support the gradual transition from day-to-day operational management toward a long-term strategic vision covering overall material requirements and optimization of the end-to-end production process.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Technical knowledge of electronics and telecommunications (this is the preferred and most relevant background, although not mandatory); experience from related industries such as automotive or construction technology is also considered transferable and valuable.
  • Knowledge and practical skills in Lean manufacturing and production process optimization.
  • Understanding of process quality indicators and performance metrics.
  • Experience working in a production or service workshop within the electronics industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset, solution-oriented approach, and decision-making capability under pressure.
  • Team-oriented attitude, collaborative mindset, and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy and thorough document verification.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing processes and organizational priorities.
