Rohde & Schwarz performed a spectacular installation of its latest direction finding antenna by helicopter for DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH.

Offering a bundle of state-of-the-art-features from a single source, it simultaneously monitors up to 28 VHF airband channels and four out-of-band UHF channels, with equally high accuracy and measurement speed. DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH has commissioned Rohde & Schwarz with the procurement and commissioning of new direction finders for six German airports. In addition to the DFS center in Langen, the towers in Nuremberg, Hamburg, Münster/Osnabrück, Stuttgart and Hanover will be equipped with the new direction finding systems. CERTIUM Locate, the latest direction finding system from Rohde & Schwarz, will be rolled out by HungaroControl to enhance the performance of air traffic control in a crowded segment of European airspace.
