Key facts

  • Wide frequency range
  • Suitable for susceptibility and emission measurements
  • Very little cross-polarization
  • Compact size, low weight
  • Ease of handling

For radiated emission measurements

The linearly polarized R&S®HK116E biconical antenna can transmit and receive broadband signals in the 20 MHz to 300 MHz frequency range. Precise design makes the antenna ideal for measuring field strength and EMI.

Features & benefits

Frequency not very dependent on radiation patterns

For consistent behavior over operating frequency range

The R&S®HK116E is a biconical antenna with broadband operation and a nearly frequency-independent radiation pattern for uniform DUT illumination over the entire operating frequency range.

Very little cross-polarization

For accurate polarization measurements

The R&S®HK116E has very low cross-polarization for accurate spatial measurements of electrical field vectors and more reliable results.

Quick and easy mounting/dismounting

For easy handling

The R&S®HK116E is designed for quick and easy dismounting. This applies when attaching the antenna to a mast or tripod and when dismantling it. The operator saves time when changing antennas between measurements.

High measurement reproducibility

For reliable results

The biconical radiator mounting system fixes the crossbar orientation for high reproducibility of electrical performance. This is in line with a recommendation in CISPR 16-1-6 Ed. 1.0 (A.4.2, A.4.3; avoids simple screw-thread attachments that cause imprecise radiator orientation).
