What are the differences between standard and DFS version of Pulse Sequencer software?

Answer

While the standard Pulse Sequencer software is a powerful tool for radar signal simulation in general, the DFS version is a standalone, PC-based application that generates dedicated RF pulse patterns according to standards such as FCC and ETSI, with purpose to test WLAN devices. Worldwide, the two frequency bands 5.25GHz to 5.35GHz and 5.47GHz to 5.725GHz are used by various radar systems. In addition, they are allocated to unlicensed WLAN devices. A requirement arising from this frequency band reuse is a method called Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS). A system that requires DFS must be capable to avoid interfering with radar systems.
