        Diode Leak Current Measurement

        SMUs can operate in ISVM (Current Source Voltage Measurement) or VSIM (Voltage Source Current Measuerement) modes. Based on it's high resolution and accuracy even smallest leak currents of electronic components can be characterized.

        Conductive Plastic Low Resistance Measurements

        ADCMT SMUs are well suited for low resistance measurements e.g. at conductive plastics or metallic connectors with up to 10 µV resolution. Some units (6240B) can cancel the thermal EMF at the contact section automatically.

        Battery-Evaluation

        All ADCMT SMUs can be used for charge/discharge tests of batteries. The applicable battery capacity is determined by the output characteristics of these 4-quadrant-power supplies. The pulse profiles can be defined with minimum 50 µs pulse width of the programmable pulsed current source, which operates for these kind of tests as a sink. A simple hardware link enables full-automatic processing. A programmable suspend voltage and a selectable output impedance protect the battery against unwanted transient currents during operating status.
