BSI grants approval for R&S®Trusted VPN

The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has granted approval for the security solution by IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity up to the classification levels VS-NfD (RESTRICTED), NATO RESTRICTED and EU RESTRICTED (national). R&S Trusted VPN allows users to access encrypted corporate resources from anywhere in the world.

Munich, August 22, 2019 – Virtual private networks (VPN) are an essential asset in an increasingly interconnected work environment where companies and authorities are set up globally. Only by using an encrypted VPN connection, can employees securely access corporate networks and resources. R&S Trusted VPN is an IPsec-based encryption solution with up to 1 Gbit/s. The solution consists of a VPN gateway that is available in different variants at individual sites, and a central management system. The solution supports network topologies of any complexity level, be they fully or partly meshed, star or custom topologies. Administrating is easy and enables even network administrators without specific knowledge about security or VPN to set up and maintain highly secure networks.

Additionally to the IPsec encryptor R&S Trusted VPN, the network encryption products of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity that have been approved by the BSI include the high-speed layer-2 encryptor R&S SITLine ETH and the high-speed layer-3 encryptor R&S SITLine IP, thus offering customers a broad variety. The BSI approval allows Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity to offer R&S Trusted VPN to a new audience such as authorities and companies that depend on the flexibility of an IPsec solution for processing of VS-NfD (RESTRICTED), NATO RESTRICTED and EU RESTRICTED data.
