Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity offers IT compliance in line with European General Data Protection Regulation

Effective May 25, 2018, companies will be required to ensure compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). The IT security solutions and services team at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity offers solutions to meet the organizational and technical challenges of the EU GDPR while enabling companies to prepare, analyze and implement the new regulation.

The European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) signifies a paradigm shift in terms of data security and creates major opportunities. The regulation is a modernization designed to ensure effective and specific protection of personal data within the European Union. Compliance with the guidelines gives companies an opportunity to reinforce their relationships with their customers, partners and employees. In the age of rapid digitization and data driven economies, it is essential that information be handled with diligence and integrity. EU GDPR compliant operations and processes guarantee this.

"We offer active support to companies in implementing the EU GDPR: everything from consultation on preparing for certification and implementation to establishing EU GDPR compliant solutions," says Helko Kögel, Consulting Director at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. Kögel's team also cooperates with experienced legal experts to make this happen. If needed, data protection certification (Art. 42, GDPR) can be implemented alongside an information security management system (ISMS). Specific implementation services include support in creating processing activity records (Art. 30, GDPR), required declarations, risk classification, impact assessments (Art. 35, GDPR), risk mitigation measures and IT/data security improvements. "It won't be all said and done on May 25, 2018," says Dr. Alexander Schellong, Vice President of Solutions and Services at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity. "We want to support companies beyond the EU GDPR in implementing their long term security and digitization strategies and compliance efforts."

The broad portfolio of IT expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity also features products and solutions with the functionalities and consistent configurability needed for fundamental data protection and information security.
