Rohde & Schwarz presented a thermal solution for analyzing 5G mmWave chipsets and UE performance under extreme temperature conditions at GSMA Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. The solution enables 3D RF measurements of antenna characteristics in a temperature range from –40 °C to +85 °C. Integrating the R&S®ATS-TEMP climate option into an R&S®ATS1000 antenna test system makes it possible for the first time to combine testing in an RF OTA chamber and climatic chamber testing into a single setup.
