Munich 28-Jan-2026
The well established annual virtual conference Demystifying EMC (DEMC) 2026, hosted by Rohde & Schwarz and partners, will take place over two half days on February 10 and 11, 2026.
Navigating EMC testing in the age of AI and 6G
Arthi Krishnamurthy, EMC Segment Manager at Rohde & Schwarz, will open the DEMC 2026 virtual conference with the keynote address, “Navigating EMC testing in the age of AI and 6G”. Krishnamurthy emphasizes the critical need for adaptation within the field, stating: “EMC testing must evolve to keep up with increasingly complex and faster electronic systems. New technologies like AI, 6G, and advanced materials are driving the need for testing at higher frequencies and require updated standards and more efficient test methods and instrumentation. Essentially, it's about future-proofing EMC testing in a world of constant innovation.”
This forward-looking perspective sets the stage for DEMC 2026 which will feature dedicated sessions reviewing the latest CISPR standards for emissions above 1 GHz, including a summary of Draft CISPR 32 Edition 3 proposals and explorations of new measurement techniques like the APD weighting function and reverberation chamber testing. Fundamentals of Conducted RF immunity testing per IEC 61000-4-6 and updates from the latest edition will also be shared. Attendees will also benefit from webinars showcasing the advantages of reverberation chamber testing for automotive EMC, a demonstration of challenging high-frequency measurements on a GaN-FET power optimizer, and a focused session on EMC compliance testing for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Accelerate EMI testing with speed-optimized and reproducible measurements
DEMC 2026 will demonstrate how optimized EMI setups, combined with modern receivers, can significantly reduce test times within fast-paced development cycles. The conference will discuss new test techniques like the Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber (VIRC), that enable efficient and reproducible on-site measurements for large systems and present both simulated and real-world measurement results for an innovative antenna design that enables radiated EMI testing up to 44 GHz.
Interactive practical sesssions to demystify EMC testing
Rohde & Schwarz will host interactive presentations providing step-by-step guidance on how to prepare for and perform electromagnetic compatibility measurements. The interactive session “Would you like some EMI with your coffee” demonstrates EMI debugging of radiated emissions from a digital-display coffee machine. Another interactive webinar addresses common misconceptions of transient immunity testing according to IEC 61000-4-X using theory and live examples.During the live virtual DEMC 2026 conference all attendees can ask their questions. The virtual DEMC 2026 will be followed by in-person events that will take place around the globe. Participants can check the DEMC 2026 home page regularly for upcoming events in a location near them.
