Munich 18-Jan-2022
Munich, January 18, 2022 - Mobile task forces are under great strain in their everyday work. If, for example, a car accident occurs, the officers and helpers on site are usually forced to record the data necessary for rescue, reconnaissance and recovery using pens, clipboards and forms, as well as documenting them via camera. This requires extensive post-processing with subsequent digitization of the handwritten data and merging with the photo documentation. The media disruption means not only an increased susceptibility to errors, but in particular an increased expenditure of time.
A digital all-in-one solution developed with the combined expertise of four experts is designed to remedy this situation: a modern ergonomic system consisting of mobile devices from Panasonic combined with communication, control and security applications provides valuable support to emergency personnel for all tasks while on the move: from order receipt, navigation, messenger communication with the control center and colleagues, photo documentation and video self-protection to the final protocol, they always have everything at hand and, thanks to direct data processing, a significantly reduced effort for follow-up.
In addition to multifunctionality and time savings, the solution offers maximum reliability and data protection. IT security expert Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity ensures comprehensive proactive IT security with protection against cyberattacks on the mobile device. The security package includes a highly secure browser as well as a BSI-approved zero trust based VPN client and proven hard disk encryption - also with BSI approval. The approval by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) ensures the highest level of security for data protection-sensitive authorities and organizations.
Thanks to their robust design - latest model TOUGHBOOK G2 with IP-65 and MIL-STD810H certification - Panasonic TOUGHBOOK mobile tablets remain fail-safe in service, defy IT-unfriendly weather conditions and can be operated comfortably even with gloves on. In addition, they function reliably in the event of vibrations in the vehicle, score points with extra-long battery runtimes and user-replaceable batteries. The certified vehicle installation with TÜV-approved accommodation and charging facility is carried out by B&T Solutions, while the central control unit is provided by the Polaris system from the Tonfunk Group.
The solution has been developed for all types of emergency vehicles, such as command vehicles (BefkW), command vehicles (ELW) with a connection to the authorities and command vehicles.
