The R&S®TS6710 TRM radar test system allows manufacturers of state-of-the-art active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar equipment to perform fast, automatic RF measurements on transmit/receive modules (TRM) in development and production. The R&S®TS6 TRM test library covers all common tests for a TRM and its components. Module control can be implemented locally by an open C# interface.

Starting with the early microwave applications for radar, the advantage of increased bandwidth has been a deciding factor in shifting toward microwave and millimeterwave (mmWave) for communications technologies. It began with satellite transmissions and then came down to earth with cable television and wireless local area networks such as Wi-Fi followed by new applications in the automotive and aerospace fields.
