Your tasks

  • Working within the service team to deliver and maintain customer hardware equipment and systems in service lab located in North Ryde Sydney as well as at customer sites. Primarily calibration on RF Test and measurement equipment as per appropriate engineering specifications, as well as repairs and answering customer technical enquiries. Assist Director to develop onsite test solutions and perform onsite services and troubleshoot if required. Expanding existing calibration service capability. Documenting all engineering support and investigation work to a high standard with ERP system. Asset management of internal reference instrument pool by working with the Cal team to schedule and perform calibrations & checks according to appropriate intervals and maintain their service records accurately. Complete the calibration of incoming customer DUTs including equipment recording, measuring and ensuring that the devices and equipment meet established standards and provide accurate and reliable results. Analyze the test results to make decisions about required services/actions. Assist the Director of Service & Operations with ensuring our service and calibration activities comply with ISO 17025 & ISO9001. With relevant R&S team members, negotiate mutually acceptable solutions to issues between our customer and R&S. If required, set up and manage the implementation of procedures for new product testing and for repair and calibration of both customer supplied and in-house equipment. Create/Update and maintain local service capability and New Product Information database. Provide CSR a high level of technical support for existing contracts to external customers. Essential requirements • Degree in engineering, ideally RF, Electronics, and Communications • Ability to calibrate, diagnose and repair a broad range of RF equipment • Good understanding of RF measurement Metrology principles and uncertainty calculation. • Attention to details • Analytical problem-solving ability in fault finding and diagnostics. • Excellent computer skills including ERP system, MS Excel and MS Word • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently. • Demonstrate Result orientation, Drive, Team work and Boundary functional collaboration • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Time management and prioritisation of tasks • Can-do attitude • Interstate travel is required (estimating ~5 trips/yr : up to 2wks per trip)

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering, qualifications ideally in Electrical/Electronics/Radio Telecommunications/Mathematics.
