Rohde & Schwarz USA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its new QPS Millimeter Wave Body Scanner. The position will be involved in airport and security checkpoint demonstrations, installations, and onsite support for the US and Canada. It’s a unique opportunity to work with a new product in an exciting business field for Rohde & Schwarz. Ideally this candidate will be based in the DC corridor area, however other locations will be considered.

Your tasks

Work with the Rohde & Schwarz QPS Security Scanner sales team to support the QPS products in the US and Canada
Perform site surveys to support delivery and installation of QPS systems
Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations, trade shows and seminars
Work independently, within a team environment, and with customers to achieve business objectives

Your qualifications

BSEE preferred (or equivalent technical experience)
RF/uW background preferred
Experience supporting Aviation Security products
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills.
Excellent problem solving skills
50-70% travel will be required including international travel to the Global Headquarters in Munich, Germany
U.S. Citizenship required

The total compensation for this position is $80K-$125K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
