Purchasing : Procurement Intern- Long Term

Your tasks

• Improve usage of the purchase requisition tool by checking the incoming requisitions for errors and deriving methods for improvement
• Process purchasing requests into purchase orders, maintaining communication with suppliers and internal customers, from order placement to receipt, if necessary expedite order to ensure vendor quality and schedules are met
• Support the team with sourcing, using manufacturer & distributor search tools and purchase history to assist with supplier selections for best cost and availability
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Your qualifications

• Highschool Diploma
• Currently enrolled in College/University, ideally in Supply Chain, Materials Management or Business Administration
• Good Microsoft Office software skills, SharePoint experience a plus
• Quick learner
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
• Detail oriented and organized
• Effective oral and written communication skills for customer/vendor relations and interfaces
• Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents to be considered
