FORUM: GPIB port does not work in my application

Question

I can identify my device and communicate with it using NI MAX, but unfortunately when trying to connect from my application, there is no way to find to the instrument.

My application tells me instead: "The interface type is valid but the specified interface number is not configured."

What's wrong with my setup?

In most cases more than one VISA application is installed on the system. As some applications allow to select the desired software architecture, you should use the VISA released by the manufacturer of your pc interface in this case:
