Noise Figure and Gain Measurements of amplifiers from 75 GHz to 110 GHz

The frequency range at around 90 GHz becomes more and more important, for example for automotive RADAR, E band beam radios for wireless backhaul systems or 6G research. Important for designers for these applications is to know the noise added by amplifiers or other active devices. This video shows how to measure noise figure and gain of an amplifier at around 90 GHz using the smart noise source R&S FS-SNS110 and the external frontend R&S FE110SR in combination with a spectrum analyzer.
